No time for me, I'm trying to get a dozen Space-related scenes done hopefully within a month or two for my calendar, I'm only up to the halfway point now after almost 2 months. Plus there's some small comissions I have going now...and just one that isn't necessary at all but I'm drawing it in my spare time when I get sick of those others
I do have some potentially good ideas for this one, but I'll pass - maybe the next
Because I want to keep my calendar art exclusive, which will hopefully keep their value up a bit more. So the individuals won't be uploaded as seperate deviations (which is killing me since I've spent ages on each, and some look really cool) but it's for the best...when I'm nearing the end I might see if I know someone who knows flash and is willing to help since I'd love to present the artworks professionally as a flash-gallery where people can browse the individual artworks one at a time as one deviation, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it
Besides, I bet there's some good potential entries so far, if the artists are like me, they are saving it for the end even if they finish early, crushing everyone elses hopes and dreams seriously, I once entered a contest and (man saying this makes me feel like a dick) - looking at the others, that winning prize was as good as mine. But a better artist found out about it because of me submitting mine early and they had enough time to enter...and beat me if I held on to mine for the last day or two, I would have came first rather than second
True, but even if I did - having that one publicised could taint the purity of me being able to say "original works never before published on the internet" - though one can get an idea of their quality since my late deviations Conure Cay and Apollo's Arch were actually going to be calendar peices until I changed my mind, replacing them with better versions
The theme is the Solar System though, so all landscapes will be of familiar places (the eight main planets, plus the sun, moon, pluto and a comet) which make up the 12 images, so none of those are really "unknown"
A lack of ideas, and time. I usually have school homework from the moment I get home til the moment I go to bed. about 4-5 hours worth a night. Which is also caused by a lack of ideas (writing essays, doing presentations for my communication technology class, social projects)
At first I thought this might be my inspiration but then I ran out of time and couldn't think of an idea.
Honestly I think my brain wants me to do a digi painting in corel painter of something and succeed before moving on to space art again. Who knows.
I did lose my creativity though, for everything not just art, I have no good ideas and even when I have them I cant stick to one I move around so many of them I cant finish one or the other, hence why I have re-written my essay for english class 3 times, I lost track of where I was going and it turned into 3 ideas under one topic and it just didn't work
Yessss I have seen it!!, soooo sexy; for that reason I cant participate, he will win hands down Nah really I am struggling with a paid job for a TG2 animation and its taking all my time. But he has an awesome piece that is true; mouth watering
Tnx man but i got the feeling some very good other pieces will enter as well. So i'll have to add an eyecatcher or something that stands out. I'm just happy there is a contst like this. Seems like that is about the only thing that can inspire me to do some art.
der wirkliche grund warum ich nicht mit mache ist, um zu wissen um was es geht mueste ich viel zu viel engl lesen und das is jetzt echt mal zu anstrenged, ich hoffe das das is nicht sone lame entschuldigung wie "I think I'm not gonna win and that is why I'm not participating" xD
