V7 is (like v6) a common thing - change for making changes, not change for improvements.
[-] HUGE LACK OF PERFORMANCE!!! - v6 was very slooow, but this is the new "quality"; my not-so-old Pentium M 2.0GHz gets busy at 100% (firefox.exe: 80-100%, no plugins) for few seconds with every page load (performance was also an issue in v6...) and browsing dA is now pain in the ass... Low responsiveness, CPU continuously heavy loaded, opening every few new pages (i.e. new devs form devwatch, nice devs on main page, etc.) takes dozens of seconds, every page is overloaded with tons of useless scripts (some shade here, some widget there, some pop-up elsewhere... that's really irritating!)... And you even CAN'T disable JavaScript/JScript on DeviantArt, because then it's almost impossible to browse and navigate... [-] hidden some useful information previously shown on top of page (i.e. detailed number of messages from devwatch) - "because we save pixels" - and at the same time wasting space with poorly designed top bars (bar height: 50% text, 50% free space... + bigger than before font)
The new version is so-so. I'm under the impression that not much is changed really, they have just moved things around. I still hope that we can one day customize our pages using CSS and edit our own comments (would be lovely for me, the queen of typos!)
Hahahaha, seems like the people don't get the point of this poll, which is quite made of win! I love the v7 polls, it's funny how people get angry for nothing
Personal note, because of the stupid way of viewing images, you latest widescreen piece appears about 350 pixels high because of being wide.
Obviously being able to look at an image how it was intended is far beyond DAs capability.
To me, the management are more concerned about being trendy (writing less is moar to sound like a internet cat, as well as the llamas whatever the hell they are for) than actually checking to see whether the update actually helps anything.

[+] nice, sleek new deviation page
Meh, I don't like it much, but I didn't like v6 too much either at first. I'll get used to it.
