Gigagalaxyzoom.org
A hompeage showing super awesome detailed photos of our universe. I've never seen such a detailed shot of our galaxy before. But have a look yourself!www.gigagalaxyzoom.org
It actually is a project hosted by ESO, the European Southern Observatory. That's what they said on the website: "Through three giant images, the GigaGalaxy Zoom project reveals the full sky as it appears with the unaided eye from one of the darkest deserts on Earth, then zooms in on a rich region of the Milky Way using a hobby telescope, and finally uses the power of a professional telescope to reveal the details of an iconic nebula."
Beyond the Frontier I - Unkown Moons
The topic of our first contest is Unkown Moons. The moon is the closest neighbour we have in space. It is pretty familiar to us and nothing special when we look to the sky during starry nights. But what about other moons? Caught asteroids like Mars' moons Phobos and Deimos or giants like Jupiter's Ganymede. And these are only examples of our solar system. There are billions of possibilities out there in the universe. Show us the impossible! Show us something new!! Show us unkown moons!!! The first month is already over but there is one more to go. We want you to be creative!

robojourney by *ChristianNauck
The suggester said: This amazing piece of work stopped me dead in my tracks. The composition is perfect, the colours compliment each other beautifully, the design, attention to detail and inner workings of the robot adds layers of character and the warmth of the light suggests not whether the robot is beginning or completing a journey, just that he is happy to be on one. Truly Marvelous.

Go ZETAMAN GO by ~randis
The suggester said: The first thing that catches the eye are the water droplets that are in perfect sync with the action and movements!! Just look at the atmosphere! It feels as if we can move our head and see the environment around!! Highly detailed and yet so perfect!! Amazing!!
I can only agree!

The morning glow by ~yutori-custom. Awesome contrast, light and robot!!! Don't miss his other images!

Warbringers by ~synax444
The suggester said: Its hard to pick a deviation from this artists gallery, but this one really stood out for me, this has gotta be one of the hottest suns I've seen... and what is better than having dragons in space?! Truly enjoyable piece of art, it gives a feeling of domination, with their "I'm going to swoop you up for dinner" poses! Great detail and realism, definitely worth a close look...

Special wars by *MarcSimonetti
This piece has great details and an exceptional perspective, be sure to look at the rest of this artist's gallery!

Inner city by ~aksu
A possible upcoming reality. It really reminds me on the movie "The fifth element" and I absolutely loved that film! Don't miss the rest of his awesome sci-fic gallery.

Criminal by ~KageRott
Come and enjoy looking at this piece as much as I do! The suggester said, the only the word that can describe this piece is "Amazing!". I can only agree!

Twins by ~thiagochackal. A very unusual and unreal scene. Although both planets are colliding, it has a very peaceful aspect. In my point of view it's a beautiful metaphor to human twins. What do you think?
