Hey deviants, I really need your help. I decided to size the amount of photos on *taenaron-photo down. I want to keep 50 photos. That's one third of the current total. But it is hard for me to judge the quality of my photos myself and that is why I need you. I would be very very very thankful if you found your 10 fav photos out of my gallery. At the end, I'll make a ranking, which is going to decide what images I'm going to keep.

I'm a freelancer now. Yesterday was the last day at my old agency. Now I'm free to focus on things I like and to earn money by things I like. Talking about that: do you know companies, authors, publishers or bands that are looking for sci-fic images? Please let me know I think I managed it quite well to continue with freelance jobs. There is already a lot stuff to do.

Awesome news here: *QwakQwak bought me a subscription!!! Thank you so much man! Go give him some love!!! Besides that, I'm thinking about reorganizing my account. Some journals ago, I thought about merging my both accounts again but I think I'll let them how they are. Now there is the question: how many images do you like to browse in someone's gallery? 24? 48? 120? Or is it not important?

At the moment I have about 150 photos online. But I think that's too much. What do you think about it?

I proudly present #gt-g, the official group of gtgraphics.de here on deviantART. gtgraphics.de, that means ^gucken a.k.a. Jeff M. and myself, ^taenaron a.k.a. Tobias R.

Besides our homepage, this group is going to contain the highest concentration of our works. But that, of course is not the reason for creating such a group. The key is, to stay in touch with you. As we are a team, it only makes sense to communicate with you as a team and not just individually on each of our userpages or via notes/emails.

How can I join and why should I?

You easily can join by pressing the join-button (haha very clever ). There won't be any restrictions. But to know who is participating, we are going to approve each application. Now again to the purpose of this group. On a first sight, it is of course about our works and gtgraphics.de. We are focused on digital art (to be more precice: on sci-fic) and photography. That is why there also are two galleries for you. There you can place and present your sci-fic works or photos to us and your fellow members. For inspirational things, we also set up a collection where you can send your favourite favs to. If you have something inspirational or important to say or something you think could be interesting for the others, you also can write a blog by clicking the "+ new blog entry" button in the upper right corner of the blog-page. Do not hestiate to use that possibility

Regarding the fact that both of us currently are responsible for the sci-fic and space art galleries as gallery moderators, this group might be the perfect opportunity for you the get your works seen by us *cough*DD*cough*. We also are going to use this group to announce some stuff that is related to our work as gallery moderators.

If you have any suggestions or have a special relation to gtgraphics and want to contribute even more, feel free to note us. We are really looking forward to build up a little community of like-minded people here.

Science Fiction Art of the Month v.20

We finally announced the winners. It took quite a while to go through all of the entries (equal chances to everyone). We had five criteria: first impression: execution creativity connection to topic performance in relation to other works of the artist.

The last point was given to be fair towards younger/less experienced artists. I think the winning pieces underline that it worked well After summing up the three results from `j4m3sb0nd, ^gucken and me, we also were some kind of suprised (in a positive meaning).

Our first contest, Unkown Moons, is over. More than 120 entries... wow Thanks a lot for your participation! We are trying to be as fast as possible with the judgement

The next contest of Beyond the Frontier is "Center of Power". It is starting soon. So look out for the news article with further information! Thats an even broader topic, so I expect moar awesome entries (and also more sci-fic related stuff )


I'm absolutely in love with my new Canon 10-22mm 3.5-4.5. Wideangle is fun, pure fun! It was a bit more expensive than the Sigma one but I think it's worth the money. I also took some test photos and I'm really amazed.
