Ladies and Gentlemen.... I proudly present my victim This was some hard thing to do. It's the best that is possible for me now. I ever wanted to creat a dual screen wallpaper. And here it is. Broken planet in the middle of the screens was my intention to get a better blending from one to the other screen.
Story behind it? The pic speaks for itself. If you have a problem with realism: I don't care I wanted it the way it is. The biggest problem was the huge planet on the left. Why? Because of the filesize
Some information - 13.333 x 5000 px @ 300 dpi - 50 layers (more painting this time ) - Photoshop, 3dsmax, Wacom Graphire 4
If you use this wallpaper, pls fav it. It's supposed to be a wallpaper and no stock. No use for other pics without my permission. And of course no commercial use!
edit 5-31-2009: changed nebula, added ship, changed details on both planets, added some more wallpapersizes
Yet another display of fine space artwork. The nebulae clouds in the background well suit the dark depths of space while at the same time lighten up the image and doesn't overpower any of the foreground elements. The planetary textures implemented are top notch without too much repetition and a great show of habitation and the brushing used to create the explosion is definitely worth mentioning. The astronaut and the space station are a nice touch but they seem to look a bit off as if they were a bit over sharpened but at this point I'm just nit-picking. In short, this is another great addition to anyone's favorites and space art collection and a excellent achievement overall.
