About the pic

I ever wanted to do such a pic. And finally I'm pretty happy. I know there are still some things that seem to be kinda off but I don't care because the whole image is (in my opinion) in harmony. The most time I spent on the galaxy that is about to be destroyed by a giant black hole. Some last Star-Destroyer are on the run. Unfortunately this epic scene takes place behind the planet, so you won't see it :( I'm really sorry but I had to pay some attention to realism, and a planet isn't transparent. :giggle:

When I first saw this, I was absolutely blown away. The sheer scale of this artwork is epic.

The amount of effort and detail you've put into things such as the land mass on the planet, and the lights of distant cities gives the impression of an actual picture taken out in space from a satelite.

A really neat touch is the way in which everything in the picture appears to be directing the viewer towards the right hand side of the picture. This most likely has something to do with the star glaring in the distance.

I will say one thing, though. Perhaps the texture of the asteroids in the distance could have been made to look a little rougher.

This wouldn't look out of place on a wraparound cover for a sci-fi novel.

Speechless. Its a great piece. And I loved the way you made it. The perspective from where is done. Its great. I dont have the correct words to describe it right now.

Sick...just reeking of pure awesomeness.
I have been looking for a new desktop background for a while, and this, sir, is now it. Thank you very much, it is wonderful.
awesome work! looks very good on the desktop. not too bright and not too dark. the whole scene is very interesting and there's a good story behind it. the only thing that seems a bit odd is the elevator (I mean the general concept, not the way it is portrayed) - thing like this simply cannot function, because of the laws of physics. but on the other side, maybe in the future such constructions would be possible to build, and obviously the picture is a glimpse of the times to come, so the whole idea is not as absurd as it may seem to be :)

I don't have premium membership to write a critique but I guess that the comment box will be enough.

I think that the piece is super. The ammount of details and things that you put in your pictures always amaze me :) The picture looks way better with the new building on the right. The lightning and shadows are as usual well made and physically correct. The color theme is well chosen - the yellow/orange sun and the white-brownish (uh I am hoping that my monitor shows the colors correct) fits perfect with the brown asteroids. The things that bothers me are 2:
1. The rock in the right corner look in different resolution with the rest of the picture. Somehow with lower quality (I really can't understand how I missed that fact yesterday)
2. The elevator looks a bit flat and solid colored with no texture on it. That somehow bugs me but I am pretty well aware that it could be just me (and I don't want to live in it's shadow on the planet :D ) Also I can't really understand how it works with the rotation of the planet - yeah I know that it is flexible but still.. :D

All in all I love it and it is already my wallpaper :P Looks good on the screen and doesn't bring pain to my eyes (I don't like the multi-colored bright wallpapers)
So everyone should be happy to have this on their screen. Thanks for giving me/us such a nice wallie. Keep it up! :la:
