Ordinary Morning by taenaron Ordinary Morning by taenaron
The base stock is an early morning panorama photo of my hometown Dresden. I always wanted to give it a futuristic look and that is why I gave it a try (and besides the larger planet this might become reality one day). Fence from cgtextures.com.

Hi, I have a rather unique background in art.
I have actually never been trained or taken any art c lasses!
I discovered my talent for Alla Prima painting over a 6 hour time frame on dec24, 2006, which is when I started and completed my first work of art, I found out about a month later that what I had created was considered "Alla Prima"

That being said,
I don't know if I am "technically qualified" to offer a "Critique", BUT.....
Has not beauty always resided in the eye of the beholder?

My attitude towards ALL art is NOT technical, it is more along the lines of:
Does the particular work of art make sense to me?
Does it convey some form of structure and meaning?
Does it impact me positively?

I'm pretty sure that the original purpose of art, was, and is, to make our world more beautiful, and to make people happy.

Some works of art are simple, and created with ease. Some are complicated, and painstakingly difficult, and created over long periods of time.
In my opinion, that which flows with ease and establishes itself quickly, naturally, sometimes magically, has more power to evoke happiness in the heart of the observer than a work that has an aura of difficulty emanating from it.

It is just an intuitive guess, but I feel that your works are created with that kind of natural flow of energy, that comes easily for you.

So to sum it up, your works are beautiful, they made me happy, they made sense, and they definitely conveyed structure and purpose.

Most of all, they all gave me the feeling of being lifted up when I looked at them , this one even more so.

So I offer my artistic opinion purely from the heart, as it is my guide, and from where I derive my artistic expertise....

Sincerely,
Cynthia J.Moore,
CMooreAllaPrima

Hello:
Another extraordinary work. We can totally see and feel it is the same world from your other illustration. The new perspective of the neighbor planet adds a renewed feel to it :) .

I like this approach to a wonderful cityscape! The traditional elements give a sense of realism to a futuristic scene. Futurism can certainly include alternate realities! :)

Again, you are the master of any and all terragan photos/likenesses! When it comes to something that `taenaron has done, the name itself carries all of the weight of something that anyone would find professional and true to the art form of someone who is a master of their craft! You, sir, are the master of that craft! I know there would be any number of people that would attest to the fact that you have been an inspiration to them in more ways than you could imagine! I know all of my friends have at least one of your artworks in their bedrooms, something that makes them wish that they could be more than they are, more than they could hope to be! You have been an inspiration to a whole generation of aspiring artists, who have looked to your work as inspiration! Thank you, sir, thank you for all of them!

It's good, but the city is not reflected in the water. Is that intentional?

Wonderful yet again, but for me the gates stock at the bottom, is too much, it dominates the composition I found :(

i think it would look far nicer without this there .. but that's just my own feelings, the level of work you put in is always astounding mate :)

hehe I think there are two point of views in general. some prefer a foreground element like this fence, some doesn't.
maybe it helps you if you imagine to stand on a bridge. then there would be a fence :D

thanks mate (like always) :)

My issue is not the idea of the fence itself, but rather how it's being shown .. in the background, I have mad levels of detail, vibrant lights, and colors etc .. and then I have this ugly flat boring fence doing nothing :(

That's why i said what I did .......... same time though, before you say it lol .. I am well aware that the closer an object in this sort of light source, would appear with more of a silhouette effect etc ..

I just think it looks ugly by comparison to the rest of the paintings elements, that's it, that's all, love ya :D
