The base stock is an early morning panorama photo of my hometown Dresden. I always wanted to give it a futuristic look and that is why I gave it a try (and besides the larger planet this might become reality one day). Fence from cgtextures.com.
Hi, I have a rather unique background in art. I have actually never been trained or taken any art c lasses! I discovered my talent for Alla Prima painting over a 6 hour time frame on dec24, 2006, which is when I started and completed my first work of art, I found out about a month later that what I had created was considered "Alla Prima"
That being said, I don't know if I am "technically qualified" to offer a "Critique", BUT..... Has not beauty always resided in the eye of the beholder?
My attitude towards ALL art is NOT technical, it is more along the lines of: Does the particular work of art make sense to me? Does it convey some form of structure and meaning? Does it impact me positively?
I'm pretty sure that the original purpose of art, was, and is, to make our world more beautiful, and to make people happy.
Some works of art are simple, and created with ease. Some are complicated, and painstakingly difficult, and created over long periods of time. In my opinion, that which flows with ease and establishes itself quickly, naturally, sometimes magically, has more power to evoke happiness in the heart of the observer than a work that has an aura of difficulty emanating from it.
It is just an intuitive guess, but I feel that your works are created with that kind of natural flow of energy, that comes easily for you.
So to sum it up, your works are beautiful, they made me happy, they made sense, and they definitely conveyed structure and purpose.
Most of all, they all gave me the feeling of being lifted up when I looked at them , this one even more so.
So I offer my artistic opinion purely from the heart, as it is my guide, and from where I derive my artistic expertise....
