Last picture of the series. Not a new concept but I wanted to give it a new try/look. This is also my entry for the latest =theluminarium artpack that can be found here

The year was chosen randomly. So if you prefer 2012 instead of 2049... try to ignore my title :D

Holy mother of Armageddons, spectacular!

I think it would be really cool if we could see some more land through the clouds, as of right now. It looks a bit weird with all those clouds so thick together.

And I think you could've detailed the nearest fireballs that are falling down, with fragments of flames and debris coming from them, and not just the tiny particles, but something bigger.
The fireballs that are in the far back, could've been blurred a tiny bit too, as they look to sharp.

And some sweet touches with the spaceman helmet and the rocket coming down, they really add a sense of life in this scene, and they add a lot to the scene.
This picture really got the "Wow" factor to it, great work and quite epic.

We have all seen Armageddon, surely. But in that one, the Earth came out on top. Im sure that if we didn't, The End would have happened. While the apocalyptic vision is by no means original, Im pretty sure that the way we might view such an event taking place is always changing and this is the top of the pile.

The impact, visually and quite literally, is extraordinary. The Asteroid is huge and the explosion it makes is done in great detail. It bursts the Earths crust as if it were a balloon, the sky recoils. Very striking. The execution is, as per usual, wonderful, with all the interesting details that give it realism, like the shuttle and space helmet.

The only thing I question would be the conical shape. It makes the asteroid seem like it was aimed there, like a bullet from a large cosmic gun. On the other hand, it's more frightening to think that, with that kind of impact, the asteroid could drill the Earth into two!

This is possibly the closest anyone can get to an apocalypse without getting killed, and even then the detail is deadly! Wonderful work, ^taenaron, can't wait for more!

The tails on the meteors are a little thick...but other than that the painting you did is very well, and the helmet topped it off for me, it was the awe factor. Love the surface of the earth and the "fluffy" "creamy" look of the pressure wave. Overall a damn good job.
