Aurea Mediocritas

Pure space art. That's my way I think. I've been working on this wallpaper since I've finished my last deviation (about one and a half week) and I really enjoyed it to spend the time.
There is another lighsource out of the pic causing the light on the planets and asteroids.

Title in english: "golden mediocrity"
Title in german: "goldene Mitte"

I´ve gone through your gallery, and you are one hell of an artist!

The feeling in them is amazing and they are really beautiful. Space is, atleast for me, hard to paint (digital or not), especially since it has to be detailed and depth. I maybe should have posted this as "Critique", but.. you capture movement, details and the light extremly well. Sometimes the colours are´nt my first choice, but the compositions are great. I also like that you experiment with future cityscapes and buildings, more "classic" scifi-elements as well. I wonder how this above (Aurea mediocritas) would look like in say an oilpainting..

Do you sketch up before making it in Photoshop?

I found it!! I had seen this piece in someone's favorites and loved it but couldn't remember who did it.

Excellent! Love the nebula and the oh so delicate rings, love the whole piece!
